Bring your existing documents

Keep the documents your business trusts. Improve what happens around them.

Existing company documents can guide a reviewed FormEsque configuration instead of forcing every business into a generic marketplace template. Uploading a source file alone does not reproduce or map it.

Who this workflow fits

Established teams that already have customer documents and do not want a software purchase to trigger an unnecessary rewrite of their scope, terms, product names, pricing logic, or brand presentation.

The problem it removes

Starting over with a generic template can strip out company-specific terms, trade details, exclusions, selection fields, calculations, and customer instructions that took years to refine.

Practical outcomes

Move the work forward with less re-entry and less ambiguity.

  • Identify which customer, job, scope, pricing, company, and signature fields the supported workflow can use
  • Confirm which approved wording and trade-specific descriptions belong in the configured output
  • Configure variables, line items, conditional fields, and calculations only where supported
  • Test the full proposal, review, signature, invoice, and archive path before daily use

How it works

A controlled path from document to next action

  1. 01

    Select the source documents

Choose the active proposal, agreement, estimate, invoice, and related forms your team truly uses.

  2. 02

    Review structure and ownership

Separate reusable company content from customer, job, pricing, selection, and signature fields.

  3. 03

    Configure and validate

Configure the supported workflow, then validate its fields, calculations, customer steps, and output against the agreed requirements.

  4. 04

    Run a real test job

Complete a safe end-to-end test on desktop and phone before moving production customer work.

Capabilities

Useful automation with visible control

Company branding

Apply supported logos, colors, contact information, numbering, tax, deposit, and address settings.

Dynamic fields

Reuse customer, job, line-item, variable, and calculated values across configured document sections.

Template ownership

Company template administration stays inside the authorized workspace rather than a public shared library.

Migration-safe setup

Existing customer data and business-specific workflows remain intact while platform capabilities are introduced.

Clear boundaries

Know what the platform does and where your judgment is still required.

  • Uploading a PDF or DOCX stores private source material; it does not automatically render, reproduce, convert, or field-map the document.
  • FormEsque does not approve your legal language, pricing rules, tax setup, or customer disclosures.
  • Source documents containing unsupported scripts, macros, malformed files, or unsafe content are rejected.

Questions, answered

Bring your existing documents FAQs

Can I upload my current proposal?

Yes. Supported source files may be uploaded privately for review. Uploading stores reference material; it does not automatically render, convert, or map the document. Supported configuration is confirmed and validated before production use.

Will the document look exactly the same?

Not automatically. Layout fidelity is assessed during review and depends on the source format and configured renderer; an exact match is not promised before validation.

Can each company use a different document?

Yes. FormEsque is the shared platform, while company-specific fields, calculations, templates, copy, and workflow presentation belong to that company’s configured workflow.

Do templates become public?

No. Company templates are private workspace records. The public template library contains educational starting points, not another company’s production documents.

Connect the documents your team already relies on.

Bring a source document to a product walkthrough, then confirm which configured workflow is ready for your team.
